Mary Danz is an American photographer based in Dallas, Texas. She has traveled to isolated locations of the world to capture images of wildlife and landscapes. She took this photo in Zimbabwe and describes:
"We were on our morning game drive from The Old Drift Lodge. The morning was pretty quiet not a lot of activity. Suddenly, we saw this gorgeous, but beaten up, male lion in the brush. We also nicknamed this photograph "Lying In The Weeds."
